Early registrants - Philippine Schools CyberFair 2006
August 13, 2005It gives great joy when you see schools as early as now, registering at the regional level competition of the Philippine Schools CyberFair, as soon as we announced the competition last Monday. Some of our bird early entries are:
Agusan del Sur National High School
Philippine Science High School - Central Mindanao Campus
Philippine Science High School Main Campus
St. Mary’s College of Meycauayan
Note that one of the school above is planning to submit an entry to all 8 categories. I hope they will succeed.
I got an inquiry lately asking about the distinction between regional and national competitions.
Note that the regional competition purpose is to allow schools to prepare for their CyberFair entry early this year. Regions with a combination of 40 entries shall be part of the regional CyberFair that will allow them to reap the prizes early on and as we will hold a CyberFair conference in the said region. This will give schools also the chance not only to win once, but twice, as they join the National competition. If we include the International competition, that will be thrice!
All entries are automatically included in the National competition. Those who do not want to join the Regional competition can sign-up instead at the National competition when the proper time comes.
In the past 4 years though, we always receive feedback from students and teachers with regards to the schedule of the national competition, as to how it compete with other school project priorities and affect their schedule. This is the reason why we launch the regional competition this year with the hope of overcoming the preparation challenges.
We hope you can join CyberFair this year and make this experience a part of yours too.
