December 11, 2005Our 2nd stop for the nationwide Philippine Schools Cyberfair Competition roadshow will be on December 21 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM where we are conducting a one-day HANDS-ON workshop on Website and E-Commerce Development 101. The training will be held at Iligan City National High School, Gen. Wood St.,Mahayahay, Iligan City.
The goal of this training is to further help students and teachers in preparing their Cyberfair entry. This is useful as well to those who are planning to create informational websites.
Topics to be tackled include:
- Guidelines in Creating an Informational website
- Marketing Your Website
- Making Your Website Project Sustainable
This training is exclusive to Iligan City National High School. The Philippine Schools Cyberfair roadshow is supported by the Business Software Alliance and E-Yellow Pages.

DigitalFilipino.com is launching the 5th Philippines School CyberFair Project with the theme, "Inspire and Unite!" This competition encourages students to "shine the spotlight" on people, places, businesses and other things in their local community — that serve to "inspire, motivate, and encourage positive change."
All Philippine entries shall also join the International School CyberFair. On its 11th year, it has been described as the largest educational event of its kind ever held on the Internet. This program has brought together more than one million students from over 100 countries.

For the teachers, great consideration is now being made to integrate the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People for Teachers in our CyberFair 5-day camp during summer.

2nd Roadshow Stop: San Pablo City
August 5, 2005Last Saturday, I went to MSC High School in San Pablo City Laguna to introduce the Philippine Schools Cyberfair to the schools in those areas. It was fun and hope that with San Pablo City’s active participation, a regional CyberFair can truly happen in Region 4.

Ist Roadshow stop: DepEd of Makati ICT Teacher’s Organization
June 2, 2005I just finished a Cyberfair orientation briefing during the DepEd of Makati ICT Teachers’ Organization In-Depth Seminar Workshop.
With the theme, "ICT Geared Towards Global Competitiveness", 40 teachers from 38 public elementary and high school institutions were being trained from May 30 to June 3 on the various Internet-related skills.
We are glad that Ms. Elizabeth Buenconsejo, the organization’s president, invited us to brief the teachers about Cyberfair.
I look forward to the day that these schools will join the competition.

Planning for the roadshow
May 24, 2005Starting this June, we will be going on a road trip to promote the Philippine Schools Cyberfair to various schools around the country campaigning for the Regional (June to September), National (October to January), and International Schools Cyberfair 2006 (February - May). Should you like us to visit your school, do let us know.
Prizes for Cyberfair 2006 includes teacher training and Cyberfair Students convention at regional and national level.
Note however, in order for your school to be visited, you should be willing to invite other schools in your area as well in order to generate more entries for the country to compete at the international arena.
